The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Scribs. I love scribs.
Look at this cute little guy[vignette.wikia.nocookie.net]

They represent an important point that's in theme with Morrowind:

Vvardenfell is a world that deserves and demands respect in order to succeed and the scrib is an embodiment of that. They're non-hostile, you never have to fight a scrib the whole game. If you're a careless destructive idiot who swings your sword at everything you see, you may have to watch your mighty warrior get nibbled to death by a bug for several seconds. I love when people learn lessons the hard way, so it makes me laugh when players complain about being paralyzed by them. Maybe it's just because I'm a jaded prick who can't grow up. Anyway, I don't know if the developers intended for all of this subtext behind the scrib, but now we're talking about a matter of authorial intent and we'll leave it at that.

yeah, kwamas are nice addition for making morrowing more believable. although tes wiki states that kwama scouts are kwama forgers, i like to think that scribt are true scouts, and that with those noises they are looking for empty spaces underground... then maybe kwama forgers go check thos spaces?

anyways... only in morrowind bethesda obviously tried to make fantasy wild life believable. in oblivion and skyrim we saw only generic animals with dumbed down behaviours.
