unarmored skill
I'm playing a mage and have the unarmored skill under my minors. I've been wearing armor this whole time, should I ditch the gear? Will my survivability be just as good?

Probably at first you will be a ton weaker, but maybe wearing a robe will be better so later in the game you will be stronger and not relying on armor. That, or just make some spells for protection

your major/minor skills dont really matter their only function in the choice at the start are two things.
1st) when you choose the major/minor skills at start they are increased more at your starting level there is no other bonus.
2nd) you only level up based on when you gain a major/minor skill increase. misc skills will not give you a 1/10 pip for your next level up.

In actuality you can goto a trainer and level it 10 times if you wanna level so if you wanna continue playing armored you can.

Also note mobs in morrowind do not increase/decrease in difficulty as you level up that is what the difficulty slider is for, so if you are doing fine in your current gameplay you will have no future disadvantages. If you feel the game is too easy/hard adjust the difficulty slider to suit your needs.

Depending on your other armor skill your armor might give more protection right now, and by the end game you get 65 armor rating with unarmed at 100 while you can get 250+ armor with 100 in heavy armor and the best gear, you basically have to boost unarmored to 200 where you get around 265 armor rating for it being usefull, so I would stick to normal armor unless you want your character rp to be unarmored
