MGE XE not working
Re-posting this here because the people at Nexus are being unhelpful.

I'm getting the error message that says "please run Morrowind as an administrator before installing MGE XE!"

So I uninstalled MGE XE, ran Morrowind as an administrator, then reinstalled MGE XE.

It's still giving me that error message.

Edit: "Unable to find Morrowind registry keys. Please run the game as administrator before installing MGE." I just want to play this game :(

Edit 2: Tried a completely fresh install. No dice.

Excuse me, but wtf does any of that mean?

User Account Control (UAC) is that window that pops up when you try to run a program as administrator. It can be disabled in settings.

The Registry is a database that stores information for programs and files. Entries in the Registry are called Keys. If MGEXE can't find them, they are likely missing.

Registry Keys can be edited using a program called RegEdit. To run RegEdit, open Windows Search, type 'regedit' and press enter.

Got it, thanks.

Don't quite understand why I have to jump through so many hoops to get this game working, but oh well.
Worked like a charm. Thank you :)
