Plugginless moded meshes and textures not working...tried mostly everything
Hi everyone,

Recently i decided to dive again into morrowind, with a bit of graphic enhancement so that vanilla game does not burn my eyes.

I have installed 2 very popular mods : Morrowind Enhanced Textures and Westly's Pluginless Head and Hair Replacer

Both work without plugins to check at launch of the game, and I have correctly dropped the files into the Data folder (not first time I mod an elder scrolls game).

Yet, nothing changes in game....
I have turned off steam overlay (required for another mod called Graphic Extender), also turned off steam sync just in case.
I even used a cmd file that the modding community uses to redate bsa files, which sometimes is the source of the conflict.
And the install instructions and messages on nexus do not help either.

I also have Morrowind Code Patch installed, but nothing indicates that could be a source of conflict, since many modding pages suggest to install it alongside other mods.

If an helpful and insightful player comes by this, thank you

ok, managed to fix, here is the helpful instructions (I had misused the cmd file made by the moding community):
-download "tes3cmd-0.37v-2013.10.06.7z " at https://code.google.com/archive/p/mlox/downloads
-unzip in morrowind's folder (just ABOVE the Data Files folder)
-run windows command (search for "cmd" in you windows toolbar)
-command tab opens. Type "cd" (without the quotes), plus a space. Do not hit Enter. Copy the adress of the folder where you have put tes3cmd file, paste into the command tab. Now hit enter
-now the new line in the tab has the adress of your morrowinf directory
-now, drag and drop the cmd into the command tab. Do not hit enter yet. type a space plus "resetdates" (without quotes). Hit enter
-check that it worked by going to Data Files and checking the dates of the .bsa files. It shall be something like 2002, 2003.

Next time you launch the game, it shall work!

Glad you fixed it but if you run the Morrowind Code Patch, it does that automatically, and adds the 4GB patch as well. Highly recommended for all kinds of bug fixes.
