Screne resolution to be 16:9 without any mods?

So ive been trying to look up ways to change the screne resolution to be 1600x900 or 1280x720 for morrowind without having to download any mods because the ones ive tried are a pain in the ♥♥♥ to install, ive also tried the regedit thing but it appears to not work on win10, if theres anyone that can help me say something, if not, i guess ill just play in a box.

its not possible if the reg thing doesnt work.

This mod is very easy to install.
You just download the winrar file, drop all the files in the morrowind game folder and run the .exe
It will allow you to do more then just change the resolution so I think you will like it.

You need a graphics extender mod to play in widescreen.

Use MGEXEgui as LiquidWolf recommended.
