Is there any good player housing in or around Caldera?
Help is appreciated, thank you.

Technically, no. The only actual player housing in the game is the stronghold you have to build if you join one of the Great Houses, as each one of the three have their own stronghold, and none of the building sites are near Caldera.

As Valden said, there are no strongholds near Caldera, however you could at any point kill one of the NPCs and take their house. Just before attempting to do that, look the NPCs up in the UESP wiki (or another TES wiki) and check if there are quests related to them.

I once killed the orc Bashuk Gra-Bat, who has her own nice little house (doesn't live in the orc manor) that has some containers to store items in. But she also has a quest tied to her, which I finished beforehand (if you want to do the same: to start the quest, talk to the hiding orc outside Caldera, on the way from Caldera to Ald-Ruhn)

Yeah I understood that part, I was just looking for someones house to take over as Danika mentioned. Plus Im really early on in this playthrough so the great house quests are out of the question.

Thats a good idea, I've already completed that quest. With myself roleplaying I dont really want to kill the orc but I guess I could just make up some story like how they both ran off together or something. I can disable NPCs through the console right? Cheers.
You do you. No problem, have fun. :)
