Mentor's Ring?

The ring is mentioned in the upstairs room of Arielle's Tavern, just as it was in the disk version, 2002. But when I go to the aforementioned cave, it isn't there. It's been 15 years, but I think I remember it as being in the family crypt near where you found the dead body. Has anyone else found it this year?

If you're definately in the right place, then I'm gonna guess you're playing the Morrowind Rebirth, and they decided to flag it as 'overpowered' :p If you're not, then bugger knows

And the wrong dead body! I'd forgotten exactly what the Mentor's Ring did, but I knew it was worth it?
BTW, are you old enough (in gaming years) to have played Might & Magic 8? Lord Brinne (and several other very helpful internet gaming helpers) were honored in a certain dungeon there.
