For birthsign, The Serpent would be thematically appropriate, and a nord would work for the "savage north" vibe, but Bosmer or Argonian work just as well depending on your flavour.

Druids aren't restricted on weapons. They can use any weapon, be it metal or organic. Proficiency aside, of course.
And as far as armor goes, the only restriction is that the armor itself can't be metal. It doesn't have to be wood or stone, it can also be made out of bones or scales (especially dragon scales).
Turning into bears and the like isn't exactly a high priority for me - I tend to emphasize nature magic over shapeshifting.
Anyways, thanks for the advice! However, Bretons also work due to literally being descended from druids.
