Changing encumbrance

I read online you have to make a new plugin and put in fEncumbranceStrMult or something but I have no idea where to do it.

Hm, i was hoping to just raise the encumb value. I only have basic armor on and I cant walk its kinda ridiculous

Or become a sujamma addict; but seriously, there are many methods for dealing with encumbrance -- feather and/or fortify strength spells, potions or enchanted items, mark and recall near merchants or traders, establish a base of operations with ample storage, selective treasure management, etc. Since there are many different play-styles, the question is why exactly is encumbrance a problem for you?

Raising your Strength attribute will also increase your character's encumbrance level.

There is already a mod available that changes fEncumbranceStrMult and offers several choices.

The mod works, but how do you increase it further than 7.5? It says download additional mods but I dont understand

The mod comes with several ESP files that are included in the download.

You are supposed to choose one of the esp files, so make sure you only use one.

Encumberance increaser StrX7.5.esp gives you the smallest bonus to carry weight and Encumberance increaser StrX25.esp gives you an insanely high carry weight limit.

I use Encumberance increaser StrX10.esp for double the default carry weight.

I have all three downloaded as I can see, do I delete all the ones I dont want?

You shouldn't need to delete them -- just make sure that only one is selected as active in your "Data Files" which you can adjust from the "Data Files" option of main menu.
