2. You need a soul gem in your inventory and a soul trap spell. Cast the soul trap spell onto an enemy (no NPC) and kill it within the duration of the spell. The soul gem needs to be bigger the higher the value of the soul of the enemy is. Just stick with Grand Soul Gems or Azuras Star.
The souls of Ascended Sleepers and Golden Saints are the ones you need for constant enchanting effects.
One last question: Is there anything I can do with the enchanted(but non-long sword type) weapons instead of selling them? I mean, is selling them the only way, or is there some place I can use them?
if they do not cost at least ~250, and they are not better than yours, simply leave them... gold hoarding in morrowind is only an issue at the very beginning, later you simply become unpriceable artefacts ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ colossus. some people like it, some people hate it, but economy in vanilla morrowind really teaches immaterial values...
i think, devs was reacting to players feedback after daggerfall, where you needed to grind loot almost like in some mmo...
