Class I have no idea. But warrior or mage makes more sense than thief in this case. In the end though all of that goes to the player's imagination, but this is what I think fits the lore
How much more simple can it get? The player character **IS** the player character!!!
Ignore the trailers, the trailers are not lore. The trailers are just marketing videos. I mean, you didn't know this?
most of all rpg game have there true lore.mass effect, dragon age, star wars the old republic games, these. etc etc.
company and writers need to have the right version of what really happen. now they aint going to come out and say it bluntly but you can tell from lore books and videos, etc etc there is what really happen vs what didnt really happen..
just cause they but all that rpg stuff in a game doesnt make it true lol..
The only thing for certain is that the prisoner is not a native to Morrowind.
I could care less how you think Skyrim's artwork applies to the in-game lore of Morrowind.
Your question is flawed to begin with, as far as I can tell, you've been told this several different ways by different people nice enough to take time out of their day to answer a (your) dumb question about promotional artwork and how it must relate to in-game lore.
this been proven time and time again here with a lot of rpg's..
writers for the games and company needs to have some core lore stuff to work with to keep everything from being messy..
elder scrolls is the same.. you really think your hero has time to do all those quests? or be a master over everything.
they pick and choose what they want for the game and that be what really happen..
