Can we get a Mac port
Recently, Apple announced a new game porting toolkit that makes porting games incredibly easy as the kit does the port work for you, and allows you to test your game on macOS right out of the box

https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2023/10123/

Do you think you could run Pizza Tower through this kit and we could get an easy Mac port? The game is perfect for macOS and would fit right in

+1 for a port of this game

Better idea; don't use Mac.

The game already works on Mac though. Using CrossOver or the Game Porting Toolkit people got it working perfectly. So why not just make an official port, especially now that there's a tool that makes the port process incredibly easy?

Do you know a developper has to pay from 100 to over 200$ a year just for apple to not tag their application as potential malware and prevent it from running? This includes apps that were last updated years ago! You can technically disable apple's developer paywall "antivirus", but I assure you posts made by ignorant people about the game being a malware will do "wonders" for the game's reputation.
Plus, you have to buy a mac for over 1000$ (1000$ for a mac with a bicore, for that you could get a gaming pc), or pray to not get scammed on ebay (good luck for testing more powerful one). You could theorically create a vm, but in every post people who tried it point out that it is so hard that they just buy a mac.
I understand the devs for not wanting to tie themselves for eternity to their game (yes game dev is a job so they will eventually retire) to not have the players blocked out of it and not to have to buy overpriced macs.

Because apple does scummy strong arming tactics; say what you will about Microsoft, Apple does this "hey welcome in, uwu" and then dig that knife RIGHT INTO YOUR BACK.

With Microsoft they used to do that but now Microsoft just does, "♥♥♥♥ you're profitable and taking money away from our market? WELL BUY YOU!"

I know lesser of two evils argument here but still.

Firstly the ARM Macs are considerably cheaper than the Intel counterparts were. You can get an M1 Macbook Air for $800 or an M2 Mac Mini for $500

Secondly, you only need to notarize the game to publish on Steam but after that it's good to go. You don't need to keep paying for Apple Developer after that

Thirdly, can we please leave the old tired Mac vs PC flame warring behind? I thought we were done with this crap 12 years ago. Just the mention of someone wanting to play a game on macOS and y'all just get mad when it doesn't effect you.

For the first one: Ok, but you still have to buy 2 pcs. Even if they are slightly more cost efficient now you can get pcs for less than that, for that price (800$ us) you can have certain low tier gaming pcs, although macs have some advantages, like more efficient graphic librairies or support for some apps.

For the second one: Are you sure about that? I read the pages multiple times and also thought at first you could do it for free, but always saw at the end that it wasn't. The apple antivirus checks if your app has an Apple developper ID before opening it. For that you need an account. The individual account is 99$/year. Your games only start to get tagged as potential malwares after 5 years after not paying. Maybe you confused the fact that there are initial fees of 100$ for publishing a game on Steam? I may be entirely wrong, but it is everything that I can find.
If you have published games on apple platforms (not even Steam or Apple AppStore) say it and put a link to it and tell me that I am wrong and I'll believe what you say.

For the third one: Yeah, I agree that we (some non mac users, including I as you can see) put too much energy on hating mac (users (forgot to put that in)).

Extra I forgot to mention in the previous comment: Please don't tell the devs something is easy, especialy not a port. There are tons of glitches that only occur on a certain OS. Even if you have already made a game and ported it, the devs may have used a completely different code structure and engine. Maybe there are even other reasons why it wouldn't be easy.
(Final final edit I promise: Ok this is probably somewhat hypocrit because I will someday forget that rule and commit that mistake)

(Final edit (I hope it wasn't): Forget everything else and only remember the Extra)

No it's because MAC keeps being far more greedy than Microsoft. I don't trust them. Devs having to pay annual fee to the app store only being one example,

This isn't a flame war as much as it's a, "hey the only reason why this company changes is because the EU puts the boot on Apple's neck"

Another example as of why I hate them; they TARGETED REPAIR SHOPS, as a small business owner myself, do you know how stressful that kind of ♥♥♥♥ is? That again, as much as I hate Microsoft, they at least don't target repair shops and would likely throw money at the problem instead.

Apple is trying to make it illegal to repair your own stuff! Microsoft is the only company finding a way to profit off of the right to repair!

Again; one evil company is doing something smart, the other one is being evil and stupid.

Which one are you going to side with in that instance?

Ok, I never said I stopped hating apple, no doubt it's super greedy. I just meant maybe stop hating apple users (excepted the ones bragging about it or saying apple is 100x superior), but only dislike them (ok I will still dislike them, but no longer hate them).

I don't hate you guys; telling you not to use apple isn't me hating you, if you think attacking apple is attacking you then that's on you. That telling you to not use Mac isn't attacking you, it's giving you the advice of using windows or anything but apple isn't me attacking you.

To make this 100% clear; I have been doing nothing but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on apple.
