...okay sorry, that's unecesssary. My problem is being unable to run Pizza Oven in the first place though. Do I have to:
a) configure/fix my wine (i kinda just downloaded it without much of the setup beyond the minimum required for it to work for most things) (also if you don't know, Wine is a program that basically lets you run Windows exes on Linux)
b) open Pizza Oven in another way (maybe i'm just stupid and not doing what you're supposed to do)
c) ??? (use another method, give up it's impossible, etc)
Sadly this doesn't resolve all our problems, because in pizza oven you need to select your pizza tower path, which is in a hidden folder and doesn't show up in the proton/wine file explorer
Very easy fix again, copy the pizza tower path to your clipboard (right click the game -> properties -> browse installed files, it should open a file explorer window, ctrl L then ctrl c)
Open a terminal window and go to your pizza oven folder (right click inside the folder and open in terminal if you don't know how to use the command line) and type in the command:
ln -s path_you_copied
(use shift ctrl v to paste stuff in a terminal window)
Now we have an easily accessible shortcut to the pizza tower files (inside the pizza oven folder), most importantly, which isn't hidden
Go ahead and select this path when prompted in Pizza Oven and voila
You should be able to use mods
