Any idea if we get a Switch/other console port?
Im someone who waited for a long time now till this one gets a full release but even back than, i already thought to myself that its more a game i (and im sure a lot others) would rather enjoy on a console.

Its not like i would not play it on PC (in fact i will buy it soon i guess) but just the fact that you could play it mobile on the switch would be awesome.

I mean, why would you ever want to bother with the Switch at this point? The Steam Deck is better in just about every way.
not everyone has switch, ps5 or xbox or steamdeck. again, stop comparing pears with apples here...

Clearly the Switch is not intended for people like you who wants to play PC games on the go as opposed to people wanting cheaper hardware that can play Nintendo games on the go.
It's also likely that people who already own the Switch don't want to shell out more money for a product with the same use case that isn't compatible with the games bought for the Switch... and probably would rather play certain games on their desktop instead.
Then there's also the case where Valve outright refuses to sell the Steam Deck on some countries while the Nintendo Switch does (and importing would be even more expensive).

I mean I could also argue that it's generally much better to play games on PC than consoles anyway but the latter has their own appeal that attracts customers over the former.

As far as any developers are concerned and no matter what you think of Steam Deck's superiority, there's a big market of people who mainly or only plays games on the Switch which is definitely worth the developers' time to profit from if they can, just like how not every gamer plays on PC but rather just consoles instead.

You think I don't know that along with Ryujinx?
Let me ask you this: do you sincerely believe that most people would actually bother to dump their Switch games (also firmware and keys) to play them legally on Steam Deck?
This would of course require the user to already own a Switch which means they would've spent more money on another portable hardware that has the same purpose.
Do you think the mainstream majority would likely own both Switch and Steam Deck, even aware that unofficial emulators exist and the will to use them legitimately?

Again, the Nintendo Switch is for people who wants an affordable and convenient option of playing games (especially exclusives) just like any other console but on the go while Steam Deck is more expensive but allows Steam users to conveniently play their PC games anywhere, and anything more than that is left to people who are patient and well computer-literature.

Switch port is pointless because it runs fine on a Steam Deck.
thats like saying we have sonic at home...

I'd say it's the opposite of that because the Steam Deck is better in almost every way

ok who the f begins to compare the steam deck to a switch or ps5 or other console?

Is this hard to understand?
the question legit WAS:
Any idea if we get a Switch/other console port?

Did someone even read the title or is that way to hard for some people to understand that?
Im not asking for a "steam deck" version, i was asking for switch and/or other console port ffs.
Uh, no, actually, your post makes the point that the game might be more enjoyable to play mobile for some people, and the Steam Deck exists. So all I'm saying is that's covered. And why would the Steam Deck not be a valid mobile console in your mind?

Anyways, if you specifically want to play the game on a Switch because you only have a Switch, it doesn't look good. The recent news post by the developers stated the following:

We are also now Steam Deck Verified! So now you can have Pizza Tower on the go, instead of waiting for a port to you-know-where, which I can guarantee you will not come out anytime soon.

...which also shows it's not just me who's comparing the Steam Deck to the Switch, the developers also do. So don't act so abrasive, it is what it is

i said i would rather enjoy it on console than PC. the mobile part coes from the switch since thats the first i had in mind but i was more meaning a console port in general with saying all that. it would be nice to have.

Sure, ideally all games would be available everywhere. I'd personally like to se an Android port since my phone has an OLED screen and I got a few attachable gamepads to go with it.

But it's weird that you're disqualifying the Steam Deck so furiously. What is it about a "console" that makes the Deck not worthy of it? You want a console port in general but the Deck doesn't count? I don't get it

for the the steam deck is basically just a "console-fied" pc, if you take a laptop and make it a tablet basically. Ps5, xbox and switch are consoles through and through. next to this, the steam deck is not everyone cup of tea nor does everyone have those like most people have, at least, a switch or xbox (it still seems like ps5 is hard to get even in my country XD).
The Steam Deck is every bit a console as the Switch. "take a laptop and make it a tablet" is a pretty ignorant statement. So I guess it isn't your cup of tea because you were misinformed... oh well.

Look at this and tell me this isn't the same experience as it would be on a Switch:

i take it though again, lets not compare each other console with another one. again, other console ports would be nice to have "as well"
Yeah like I said, ideally it would be everywhere and I for one want it on Android but your original post was not clear that you want it on consoles "other than the Steam Deck" hence these replies mentioning the Deck

Hopefully not a switch port because switch sucks. This game would be unplayable with joy con drift

2d games always should use dpad
Is it true that you could load games directly from sd cards on the steam deck, so you don't have to download it to the deck and save memory? Basically this makes sd cards just like physical games.
