What the clock?
Funny title aside... I've been wondering what's the purpose of the clock pickups during Pizza Time, since it doesn't extend nor (briefly) stops the time, and just gives a little score increase. Is it a remnant of a scrapped thought?

Clocks only give a small amount of point and extend the duration of your combo if its not capped.

Like every point pickup else except...? Worse? I dunno, this feels kinda misleading.

Pretty sure clocks are the same as the point pickups, the only difference being clock are only for pizza time.

Clocks do the exact same as normal points except they only activate at pizza time and will respawn if you go for lap 2, same with the big bells

That's kinda the point of the design of the clocks. You're on a time limit, hence the pickups are designed as clocks.

think of the clock points as the john blocks, they are deactivated until you kill john and start pizza time in which the clocks activate so that you can collect them and get them the second time during lap 2 :ccknight:

The post-escape enemies and pickups are there to help you keep your combo going so you can P rank levels, basically.

Yeah, I just find it weird.

They are supposed to be small score increases (worth 10 points each) to help you carry your combo their worth collecting if you want an S or P rank

Yeah I found it a bit of a confusing choice as well, but it helps to make them distinct (in addition to being faded out) so you aren't accidentally chasing pickups that you can't use to extend your combo yet. Both myself and a friend mistook them for time extensions at first.

They help direct you towards the exit. They are only active during pizza time so that you can't accidentally collect them beforehand. They just have a ton of different uses, but yeah overall I think they chose to use clocks for the aspect of being in Pizza Time

I feel like that's unnecessarily ambiguous though. Any other game in existence, a timer appears, and you pick up clocks to wind back the timer. The clocks could've been something else. Are they even explained in game, because I knew neither that they gave you points(because you basically instantly lose those points from the pizza time reduction) or that they extended your combo timer(rarely ever had a combo active at the start of pizza time)
