And finding the correct way to a shop, like getting to the bakers takes 2 screens of very light platforming. But I've seen on Twitch there's other stores that take way longer to get to, like the frog one way below, the guy I was watching had to turn off the platforming in the settings cause he almost ragequit =p
And he was trying to make sugar but he didn't find the store that sold the item you make sugar from, maybe there's a hint system he didn't know about.
But the tunnels you need to get further in the game for, and like the guy above said, the invisible platforms show up at night.
Once you unlock BOTH methods of fast travel, the frog shop at the bottom is actually a direct fast travel point. But since it's a metroidvania, you're meant to explore and try to figure out ways to progress.
Some tips I can provide is that a dark-blueish rock with blue cloth means you should use your water jump there. A wooden peg in the ground means you should use your broom from there (once you've unlocked it). You will unlock the way to navigate tiny paths the same time you unlock the second fast travel method.
Just keep doing the story, then talk to the witch on top of the mountain (well kind of) and then go back to the store, talk to the roomate and then go buy it
