Is it just me or is the game difficult?
Hey there, I played for about 4 hours now and it seems to be hard as hell. The grenades even hit me when I am miles away from a grenade. As soon as you see the grenade marker it explodes. I had this problem with the first game as well - where grenades nearly instantly killed you.

Are the KPA troops respawning? Stealth tactics are nearly impossible for me. Even if I kill a guard with melee others in the vicinity are instantly alerted - the drones too. There are too many enemies in the world. As soon I am spotted they come from all direction + above you!

C´mon that´s unfair. Please devs re-balance the game at least on easy difficulty. It is fun.......................NOT!

I'm not that good at first-person shooters and I don't find it to be hard at all. I'm playing Homefront on "hardened" difficulty and it's just right.

It's not a run-'n-gun shooter. You have to be somewhat tactical going into each fight. Hence, the arsenal of weapons, gadgets, and so forth.

If you have ever tried the Resistance mode, you'll quickly find you cannot "rambo" it unless you're a high level player with adequate gear.

I do agree that the stealth system is broken. It's a mess. It is too easy to be detected because enemies, drones, security cameras, and bypassing vehicles are too bunched up together in SOME areas.

hmm OK makes sense to me. But how can I be tactical when it is so hard to kill enemies stealth. Another thing is I cannot fall back - as there are enemies everywhere since I have been spotted. But I guess I have to learn - or use a trainer:Pitter3:

use the smg with compressor on it.it will not alert others.when your first spotted stand stll a moment the attack may stop.in upgrades theres clothing to help with this.movement alerts them more than line of site at times.takes a little getting use to but you'll get it.if the fight gets to heavy run and hide and let alert levels go down.good luck

every enemy veicule drone has a electronic device if attaked or killed it informs the central comand and they send reinforcements there! so you have to use hit and run tactics or like i do hire 4 fredom fighters place my self inside a building in the middle floor and snipe them from far away! ;)

yes gameplay is hard as hell if you start playing on hard or hardest mode !
but ! you need to learn game techniques and learn how does it works ! kill enemy and scape from scene ! hidding to trashes , buildings or run and hide somewhere !

im in 3rd town now and know what really happening around the city !

after you enter the town , you need to do some works ! ( disable devices , turn the radio channels , cut the device wires and change the atmosphere to the other side and makes the people rise and move and at the end attack to the enemy bases and booooooom ! you just get back the freedom to the people ! and do the same for next town and areas !

my issue is the weapons upgrades !
why marksman riffle hasnt compressor ?!!!!
i unlock it and upgrade it but cant see compressor !!!! ( story mode ) !

I'm down with the OP. The first city was normal. Get yourself a smg+dmr combo and you're good to go. Recoil of the smg is ok for distances you'd throw a stone. Anything further go for headshots with the dmr and you're fine.
However in the 2nd town the game ramps up its difficulty significantly. The surpressed pistol (don't remember its name) wiggles like ♥♥♥♥ when fully charged and still doesn't one hit (HS) kill an enemy! Everything else than a takedown results in a alert and chase concluding with a dumpster party. Enemies just pop up out of nowhere. I peak out of a building - no enemie in sight, I head back to scavange a laptop and as I turn around there is an armored car on the street which obviously spots me and ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan.
Speaking of which, your health pool is really low and if you don't want to waste your precious medkits (which take as long to consume as writting this whole text) you'd have to spend like 10min waiting in cover for your health to recover... In contrast to the frequency of encounters it doesn't work out for me.
While it isn't too hard to run away from enemy troops, I found it quite hard to move around without engaging in combat. One example are the CCTV cams: I shot one to lure a guard into the alley. Instead of walking past me and giving me the option to take him down silently, he teleported right to the cam and turned around shooting me as I was crabwalking towards him. Of course the game spawned a bunch uf troops everywhere, I ran away, waited, rinse and repeat.

They need to fix the enemy spawning magically everywhere. It's atmosphere breaking. Not to mention if you die you spawn at times amongst a whole nest of enemies.

Plus they get reinforcements way too quickly.

Weapons handle like crap.

Stealth is really limited and is very hard to pull off. It needs serious fine tuning.

Enemy NPCs are too accurate when shooting.

Also the game plays like crap. GTX Titan x here and it's unsmooth as hell, and it's hard to aim let alone enjoy exploring and playing the damn game. The FPS flactuates too much and does not remain stable. The Witcher 3, GTAV, Shadows of Mordor and others all look and play better. There is no excuse.

lol, hard... i play w gamepad without diff at medium, i think it's little bit too easy..play more, upgrade your stuff, make secondary mission..
Memnoch May 23, 2016 @ 8:52am
I saved money until I could afford the 25% off damage vest upgrade, which helped a lot.

Well I played some more and two things made the game a lot easier:
holster your weapon with 0 and the silencer for the smg! Maybe the holster thing is placebo but the silencer was key! I thought the pressure-thingy (still don't know its name :D) is garbage! Furthermore I "liberated" the cities before doing the main missions... should have known better in the first place to be honest. Now I'm in the 4th city and its almost too easy unless I go rambo mode...

tl;dr silencer > uber-stealth-silent-pressure-thing

Yeah, the pneumatic pistol was fairly rubbish at anything other than short to medium range. And as for it wiggling aroun while under pressure, I have a gas barbecue and none of my gas cylinders wriggle around like that.

I find it pretty hard too, dying a lot lol.. making no money lol, Marksman rifle helps a lot for me though.
