The sigle player has got a surpressor.
They did say "August". That's a month's span. It would be really annoying if it slipped into September, though.
On SteamDB, you can see that the game's testing branches are updated every few days. There's also, curiously a branch marked "corsair testing".
crosshair for hip firing isn't necessary from what I experienced since hipfiring in Homefront is unreliable unless you are point blank due to spread.

They are hard at work which is always a good thing
SLI and Crossfire GPU setups have problems like this all the time and might explain it. Also try adjusting any settings relating to shadows or disable SLI and see if it happens.
When a game undergoes optimization fixes problems with drivers can occur from time to time I myself use a GTX 960 playing the game with no frame drops shadow flickering or lighting issues. My money is on SLI configuration for Nvidia and Crossfire if people use AMD GPUs
I'm running a single Titan X and I had some shadow flickering.
