radically changes the weapon and there are also some minor attachments crysis-style (scopes, silencers etc)
For example you can make a rocket launcher or a sniper rifle out of a rifle.
It is fun but very limited in quantity
the DMR and the pump action are some of the best out there imo
I like how the shotgun feels so I use it. Shottie + DMR pretty much covers all my range needs
But I agree, the shotgun, especially full auto, feels great and is a lot of fun, so I used it sometimes (and I had unlocked it asap, so I had to use it for some time). In coop, I like to use it because I have a teamate to help. The issue is that in the streets, at medium range, it's uneffective. More realism for the LMG (less accuracy with and more recoil) and the shotgun (more accuracy and impact at medium range), and the possibility of suppressor for the shotgun (I may be wrong stating there's not suppressor for the shotgun, I can't remember well), and a more effective inferno launcher (or giving the shotgun the mine launcher and the assault rifle the inferno launcher), would have make the choice between the 2 options more interesting. The LMG, combined with its alternative mine launcher, is just overpowered in comparison to the other weapons.
Been using DMR and SMG until I got the second main weapon slot
