Why hate this game?

Played it some on xbox when it first came out really liked it, bought it on sale recently, the game is still really good why did nobody like it? im confused honestly.

i don't know i liked it. short but fun. i didn't like the first one very much; maybe that one left a bad taste in peoples mouth though i liked the idea behind it? other than that maybe look at reviews and see what they were saying. i personally don't do reviews much for i can find fun in many games where the review may have turned me off to them but still i'm sure they give reasons for their review weather positive or negative.

If you want to know why HF:TR is hated by some players, I will give you the information.

1. There are bugs and glitches that prevent players from progressing.
   
2. Lack of various weapons (Assault Rifles, SMG's Sniper Rifles, Pistols, etc.)
   
3. So-So Gunplay and stealth
   
4. Plot similar but largely different than the first Homefront game
   
5. Game went through setbacks because of financial problems with the staff

Heard about this stuff, but the main reason ppl didn't like it was that it launched with a TON of performance issues on every platform.

Strange, i had 60 fps with my old system, GTX 1060 3gb and i5 3470, worked really well with 1080p (not so much with 1440p ultrawide *duh*)

Other than that, find the setting really good and the game fun.

The game released unfinished is why. It was rushed out and was broken as hell. They fixed a lot of the issues but the game still was tainted.

And me, i came back for more after accidently deleting my saves (missing Steam cloud is an obvious negative for me) 😂

Also, the Steam community you're referring to is not the ones usually playing The Long Dark like me 🙄

I haven't read any reviews of it, and I have no idea why someone would hate it or give it 2 out of 10 and so on.

This is not always the case. Some devs have abandoned games without a word and/or, sold out to other companies without finishing the their present game also, without informing their clients.

I hear ya, They feel just because, they think they, have a macho computer, all games need to run a 144fps, instantly. Anything over 30fps is good. Under that, it's bad performance. Most devs create games with a balance of 60fps due to, the fact, that, most owned monitors are capped at 60-75fps.

As for myself, I've not had any issues with the game that was game related, I'm the issue. lol. Not really. I thought it was a good game myself but, I sort of got bored with repeatedly playing shooters that have the same style of game-play of many other games, over & over again.

On another note, just because the game doesn't have 100 types of weapons or, the weapons you want them to have in the game, doesn't make it a bad game. That's stupid thinking. How many weapons do you have in real life?
