I don't think they make another homefront game due to reputation of this

I really hope there'll be a continuation of homefront the revolution, after completing the final dlc, it feels like the story is yet to be completed and definitely can be more after the events beyond the walls, I really enjoyed the game, it's very underrated and i'd really like to see a sequel

Like others in this thread, there won't be a sequel to HF:TR. I believe a prequel of this game is more appropriate because many story elements that are featured in-game need to be explained in-depth, and characters such as John Tae-se and General Steven Kyle did not have enough screentime. We would be playing as Benjamin Walker and it would be divided into 4 parts which range from 2025-2029. The gameplay would be similar to other FPS titles such as the Bioshock Series, the Half-Life Series, the Metro series, Call of Duty 2 and Industria. It would bring back a select number of weapons from the original Homefront and it would have multiplayer, not the microtransaction - customizable mess, but the original fragfest styled multiplayer. It would utilize the latest version of CryEngine in the tradition of Dambuster Studios.

Dambuster Studios, the developer of HF:TR has inherited the development hell that is Dead Island 2, which makes a sequel to HF:TR by that studio impossible. There are other studios that can develop the prequel such as Yager Development and Sumo Digital.

Does it have to be a country? How about evil corporation?

I would be by the way kind of lore friendly, considering in the lore the "the stuff we did buy from random evil corporation, turned out to be evil and doesn't work"

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare would like a word with you

I finished the game yesterday and i really think they should make another one. This game has what i was expecting from Terminator:Resistence and didnt get.

I like the gameplay in here more then in most Farcry games, because its fast without to much crafting nonsense and travel. I liked to find the hidden stuff locked behind the mini puzzels. But what i really i loved was how the game used the gameworld itself to tell you mechanics and story. The ingame cutscenes were also not bad, some were even very good (first meeting with the knife lady was outstanding and sexy). The option to modfy weapons on the fly is nice to have, even when i didnt used it much. I also loved the enemys, how they come looking for dead mates and how they search the area on alarms (they even come pre firing around the corners sometimes). There are some other things i liked, the kill sound, the enemy radio chatter, the rc car, the airships and the alarm mechanic that comes with it. I could go on for a little longer nut you get the idea.

As for all game there are also things i didnt like or were simply missing. The blinding bloom effect or what ever it is, when you look from indoor outside is sa damn annoying and was one of the worst decisions i have ever seen in a game. The ability to claim some outposts in under 10 seconds by just activating the valve is a nogo. At last i was missing a nightvision very badly, the game is sometimes so damn dark and running around with a flashlight while you are chased by patrols simply feel damn wrong.

Overall i really had good 20 hours with a game, i had for years on my WL, avoiding it because of mixed reviews. I will look even more closly at some titles from now on.

farcry is about being dropped in an enviroment as a soldier and surviving against all odds. ofcourse it should have crafting. maybe stop mixing genres and throwing them all in the same bag. Homefront is a shooting game with a story.

Hey Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading your comment, it was a great little read. I also agree with what you said.

I see the charm in a lot of what the game has to offer, trying to survive with your allies in post-fallout-like setting.

And Yes, taking over a base full of KPA by turning a valve automatically despawning all enemy NPCs and replacing them with friendlies really kills the immersion. Would have been an idea to make some sort of mechanic where you rally up a dozen friendlies and assign them all a position around the perimeter of the enemy base, one team blows up the vent and moves in, another team zip lines in, or whatever and you have to eliminate all enemy forces, maybe they'll call for backup.

A prequel to this game would be fantastic, even if Dambuster doesn't make it.
