those are codes related to you GPU driver being unable to process some of the Engine formated rendering data.
"r_shaders[...]" That's a call (funciton) toward the engine's Shaders rendering algorythm.
Seems like your GPU or the Engine/Game fails to compile some of the shaders algorythms. "r_" means "Renderer_" or "Rendering" or "Render_" as a slang.
"g_sku" is related to the Memory storage of the GPU. (g_ is for "Graphics_" as a slang while "sku" is Stock Keeping Unit usually meaning the memory access and storage unit) We could think it means the GPU failed to be able to access the GPU VRAM.
Those errors aren't something abysimal even if they may looks like it. It might not even be related to your GPU usage problem. It all depends on their frequencies like if it only happens at the start and closing of the game or if it happens every frame or each 30-40 frames means a big difference.
Buying the DLC doesn't download anything "more" per say except small bits that unlock the additional content. You have downloaded most of the DLC content even before buying it. (This is a Steam's thing with its way of handling versions.)
If there was any update done to the GPU in the recent time, it could be the cause. Remember that, for the last 4 years, Nvidia's latest drivers comes in bundle with GeForce Experience (you can't have only the drivers anymore) and that is set by default to update the GPU in the background tasks when any newer version is available unless you force it to not do it or only warn you before doing it.
You could also check the Windows Events Viewer to check if there aren't any important event happening when your FPS drop down and your GPU usage raise through the roof. To do it, play the game and wait for it to happen. Keep playing for maybe 2-3 minutes, then close the game. Open the Windows Events Viewer and check in the each sub-folder (System, Sofware, etc.) if, around the time things gets bad, you don't see any warning or red (!) mentioning any kind of failure happening while you play the game.
You might think "It's the game fault. Other games works fine!", but that's rarely the case. (Maybe 0.01% of the cases fall into that and those have reproduction of the issues on a global scale of over 80% of the users). It's can be hardware or software related as well as just one tiny option somewhere that shouldn't be activated in the game (or that should be activated).
I would suggest, in case, to download the latest NVidia driver installer, uninstall everything about NVidia. (Everything... meaning the driver, GeForce experience, etc. If it has Nvidia or GeForce names with it, uninstall it.) Restart and then install the newly downloaded installer for a clear Install state.
Depending on what version(s) of the driver you currently have, it could be more complicated. (Before a certain range of dates, you couldn't uninstall completely old drivers without the right tools and this can cause quite a few problems.)
I deinstalled the old nvidia driver yesterday bevor playing homefront with ddu and installed the new driver custom: without 3d, expirience, and audio driver in offline mode.
i think my motherboard is going to die soon or later. 4years now. my gpu is only 1,5 years.
edit: same warnings in log, but only 50% gpu load and smooth 60fps
That could be a result of your processor being OC-ed. Not pointing my finger toward you as in "you shouldn't OC anything", but more saying that whenever you OC something, something else will take the beating much faster. In the case of an OC processor, the Motherboard is the first to get hit by the heat its generating. Even if you have awesome cooling capacities, the processor remains really too close to the MB to avoid it from being affected by its heat. It's the difference between a OC-ed processor and, for example, an OC-ed GPU is the effectiveness of the surrounding cooling system(s). Either way, if one other component keeps getting a bit more heat than what it's supposed to get, the lifetime gets hit up as well.
The trick with OC-ing anything is to only OC if you can't reach an acceptable level... unless you power-OC-ing like a sport (meaning you aim at the best results not for gaming, but for the numbers. It's a thing online with stats boards and all.)
My PC is a Gateway FX6850. It's 6 if not 7 years old (bought it 6 years ago, but at the price I paid, it could have been 1 year old back then). So call it 6 years of frequent usage. Changed the HDD which failed me (That's Seagates low-cost-low-quality for you) and the GPU which obviously couldn't handle much with its original 1GB of VRAM and DDR3. Now, I'm using a Zotac GeForce 1060 GTX (6GB, DDR5, single screen compact (1 inner fan) edition). Running this game at constant 50FPS at 1600x900. I know it's not 2K or 4K, but gotta be realistic with a 6 years old PC, right? ;) (To be honest, this is the only game I can't reach 60FPS on Ultra I have accountered yet.)
Not sure where you're going with OC'ing will make other hardware take a beating ? The i74770k 4.2ghz OC isnt all that out of the ordinary, but the issue might be an unstable OC not something else being stressed .
OP have you tried playing the game without your OC ? even at stock you shouldnt have an issue running this above a solid stable 60 fps..
Im running very high settings and sitting 80-90 fps.. Newest driver on my 970 and yes on an overclocked system..
