As far as i seen, they use tons of brand new textures in this DLC, and probably in previous too.
Thats why DLC increases the size by around 20.GB more.
Yeah, fair enough. I've got the game installed now, and I didn't realize it was made on CryEngine, it definitely explains the file size. Looks and runs fine on my system, too. I just wish that they'd include the DLC sizes in the recommended file size on the store page, it's super misleading otherwise.
Yes. I think the story DLC have completly different gfx vs main game.
Not all devs do this much effort on DLC.
There is no store page for Freedom Bundle, and is why only original game size shows.
It could still be wrong size as size doesen't matter that much anymore as HDD's have been cheap and big for years.
Anyway.. The game is a big install, but there is lots of eyecandy already on menu. :)
Character gfx is also better than in most other games.
There is hidden motorcycles everywhere in containers in the game world in single player. some is wide open too.
They are maybe just more spread than in online co-op.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare were nearly 200.GB on PS4 back in year 2016, same year as Homefront Revolution were released.
At least SSD storage drops in price now and then which is nice, because it's required for these huge games.
2.TB SSD were already cheap, but 4.TB price have started to drop recently.
HDD prices have stagnated as they are not relevant anymore for other than 10-20.GB Games.
