Storm Engine!?... AGAIN???
This shait is great great granddady of game engines, it is high time to retire it. No, seriously, retire it; don't improve, don't upgrade, just retire it... or bury it, burn it, destroy it, I don't care; just get rid of it. Learn a new engine... I'm even OK with gawddam free version of Unity engine at this point. If I see one more Storm engine game again, I'm gonna lose my shait.

reason why they still cling to storm engine is because they're kind of "experts" on this engine. black mark studio was originally a modding team for storm engine games that turned into commercial game studio.

still, this is barely an excuse, since storm engine really is ♥♥♥♥ and should've died back in 00's. some things are just not working in it no matter how good of a developer you are, and any attempts at it are like cleaning toilet with fork

Why haven't they mastered being able to tab out without the game crashing, this bug existed in 2005.

Have you tried switching from Fullscreen -> Window ?
I haven't had a single crash and I alt-tab (very)often
"Window" is not "Windowed" btw. I thought that at first. It's actually borderless window and it works well.
They mentioned this before, but I hear this is their last go with the storm engine before they move onto something like Unreal.
Better veeeery late (15-20 years) than never, I guess.

Note: Storm engine was developed at the end of 90s.

i mean, adding to old engine is easier and cheaper than creating something completely new

They don't need to create something new, there are free modern... -ish 3D engines, for example Unity, CryEngine, UnrealEngine, Godot and Armory AFAIK. Devs are just too afraid or lazy to try something new IMHO. We, humanity, must force ourselves to leave our comfort zone and move our lazy arse sometimes.
