still, this is barely an excuse, since storm engine really is ♥♥♥♥ and should've died back in 00's. some things are just not working in it no matter how good of a developer you are, and any attempts at it are like cleaning toilet with fork
I haven't had a single crash and I alt-tab (very)often
Note: Storm engine was developed at the end of 90s.
They don't need to create something new, there are free modern... -ish 3D engines, for example Unity, CryEngine, UnrealEngine, Godot and Armory AFAIK. Devs are just too afraid or lazy to try something new IMHO. We, humanity, must force ourselves to leave our comfort zone and move our lazy arse sometimes.
