Trade book lying to me? (Import - Export still lose money)
Says that colony is exporting tobbaco - purchase price 103
Another colony is importing tobbaco - sellprice 153
I fill my ship with about 6000 pesos of tobbaco in exporting colony and come to importing colony and my profit is 5500?
How...i am low level but still i think that basic math should work in import-export prices,no?

Also the the store quests are crazy,in that if rats eat few pieces of cargo they want to full cargo....just take the cargo remaining and deduct the loss, jesus making me sail to another colony for 11 of something is not realistic.

depend on difficulty those numbers change a lot but the export and import should be constant i usually use a lot of money and save those goods in my storage and sell them in those Storage town when their price increase but i do not buy good unlike on my easy run on normal i take them from Heavy Galleon Pirates my main character is also a Merchant so i don't have rat problems on my flag ship

right now im a Pirate Hunter and a Sugglers and slavers on the side being Primary a weapon/cannon and gunpowder smuggler 50 18 pound cannon can make you atleast 100k i think or was it 24 pound

the annoying thing is the slave collars they are so freaking rare! this is not the late 17th century to 18th hundred but 16th hundreds! the British hasn't started their Flotilla of anti slavery ships yet! and slavery is so restricted already! so i CE the slave chains and bought hundreds and hundred of them(edited the seller amount using my own chains) so now i got tons of Myr rings for my officer muahahahaha

i also sink Spanish Squadrons and like the Pirates i do the same to them slavery/ sell the cannons and ship unlike the Merchants how ever i don't notice the lost of Reputation to them we are at war after all even though i don't have the letter

i only traded in easy and not in normal so i cant really answer how you are loosing money but as long as you buy in green and sell in brown you should be earning money

the only thing i notice is gold and silver usually 40% lower than base buy price alot of times and at best 5 to 10% lowest at best in buy price.

That will be because you sold it right after plundering it. You need to let booty sit in store for a month or so until it is no longer hot.

never really sell them right away but i do check the price(i do smuggling more with cannons gund powder and slaves i guest thats the reason its really low my reason Gold Fleet was annoying its basically a silver fleet with 10k silver and 250 GOLD! @%)!#!@#@!

well the first was the worse the gold was in nuggets...

at least the man o war on the 2nd one will have 10k dead weight and can equip 36 pound Full Couleuvines
What’s your trade score? Do you have a purser? I’ve found usually its most profitable to sell at the capital cities, For me, even with a trade score of…80 and all the purser perks, trying to sell someone’s exports at another’s imports just isn’t worth it, usually best to take them to casparville, port royale, Willemstad. Sucks because you can’t really make a trade loop…

but the trade book says i should be making money export price 103 import price (at other place of that good) 153 example. But then i make a run and for 6k pesos of goods i get 5,5k at importing place...which means the trade book is lying the prices to me...which doesent make sense, trade of import export should still be profitable even at lowest levels, though naturaly not big amounts of money,BUT ESPECIALLY NOT LOSING MONEY

The buying and selling prices I think are mixed up in trade book (not sure if it's a bug or intended). In trade book the buying price is actually the price for how much you will sell, and the selling price is for how much you will buy. Also note, that prices change constantly, one day the price can be x and tomorrow it can be y already

but green means export and purple(or blue cant remeber now) import.I went by color code first, then i noticed that im not even making money on trips.I guess maybe now,the economy is dynamic and import/export doesent always mean auto profit.Maybe they had surplus of imported goods?Il check the prices (which my trade book is lying about)more closely.

Buy/Sell is given from the point of view of the colony, not you.

Blue means moderate demand. Try selling at a place where the good is orange (high demand).
