Helen vs Mary

In my previous 2 playthroughs I've always chose Mary over Helen, I kinda want to choose Helen this time, but I'm really also just want to go with Mary. What do you guys prefer: Helen or Mary and why?

Definitely Mary, story-wise it's much better IMO.

But since you've already made it with Mary twice, why not swap ?
I've also heard they added a new set of quests for Caribbean Legend, centred around Helen.

I have played this game 3 times and I always choose Mary. Helen gots her own island. However, Mary will wait you in CoAS. Aslo, think yourself as Butcher, Mary would be Jessica, while Helen would be Batrice. You kind made the choice the Jessica wish Butcher to made.

I prefer more mentally stable Helen. She has a much deeper story behind her (even without her personal quest) and she's not annoying at all. Even her "requests".
Maybe devs will make Mary adequate in the future but for now...

Better a sex loving girlfriend that one that needs convincing every time and got frequent "headaches" IMO.

As for jealousy its justified if we express an interest in Helen. Mary's female intuition is at work. Few women wouldn't mind their love interest to fawn over other girls lol.

If your girlfriend constantly has headaches or needs convincing, that's a skill issue bro. Git gud. So as long as you lay it down right, you don't need to work hard to "convince" your girl.

I chose Mary undoubtedly in TEHO, and chose Mary again in Caribbean Legend with some struggle (I think Helen's new story makes her more charming, and she also got buffed).

The reason I still decided to choose Mary at last is: Helen will feel super blessed if she owns you, but Mary can't live without you. She will spend her whole life time in COAS waiting for you

As said by others here, give Helen a go if you want a change of pace. There are new quest opportunities specific to her, so make sure you read the dialogues carefully and save frequently if you want to court the lovely Rumba.

That said Mary does not jump at other guys and seems to be devoted to Charles. So her sex obsession is focused only on the MC who seems to love sex too.

Plus Jessica told me that Helen will divorce Charles in like 5 years tops, become a greedy businesswoman who needs no man and once she is old she will join the church to become a nun. :P

Time crunch aside, I really loved that whole Pirate Saga quest. The Jessica who showed up in the prayer/dream at the end, she was beautiful. Good job dev's. Too bad Jessica didn't say thank you to Charles with a little dream hanky-panky, that would have been legendary.
