I've read somewhere about someone who encountered this ship in TEHO, pretty much same situation as yours.

It's probably an easter egg about the real Mary Celeste.

santo domingo i did encounter it a few times in my old playtrue but its the first time ive use the board to get on it

oh and the only thing left leaving is a cat in which me an d my crew argue that it doesnt have a soul but the crew says otherwise.

It is. I've checked the game's codes. Apparently it was made all the way back in CoAS if I'm not mistaken.

I chased her in the Cumana region. Unfortunately I wasn`t able to board her in sandbox mode despite hoisting a hostile flag and shooting some balls into her hull.

You're supposed to launch a boat, I think, at least based on the game's codes.

yes launch a boat you can loot the ship but cant take it for your self

It's a ghost ship. The legend is that the Mary Celeste was found traveling the ocean alone with nobody manning it. The sails set and cannon's loaded, but nobody was on it.

So all there is on the ship is a random number of a random, single loot item.
It can be anywhere from a couple dozen of a commodity to literally tens of thousands of one.
You can't take the ship, as your crew see it as a bad omen and won't board it to take it as your own.
