tutorial not progressing after getting to Guadeloupe

Journal just says to go to guadeloupe, but nothing happens, can't talk to anybody. No missions available from shopkeeper or others. So disapponted in this game

You also have to go to Fadey. He'll give you a dagger. Then you go back to your big brother and then back to Fadey, who will then give you a mission

I didn't get the dagger, now I'm soft locked weaponless at the pirate village. Kinda thinking the tutorial is a waste of time, I'm going to try just skipping it and seeing if the game itself is any good.

I am stuck at "burdon of the gascon" quest right after you defeat the first ship you have to battle and the log says you have to go to Guadeloupe. There nothing happens

You also only have 10 days to accept Fadey's mission. Otherwise, your level must not be higher than 15.

I guess you mean well, but this doesn't help at all. My question is about the first mission after the tutorial not progressing or unclear what to do next. You talk about a person Fadey, as if I should now who that is. I don't. The journal just says to go to Gaudaloupe and at quadaloupe nothging happens, no questmarkers, no people to talk to, to progress this quest.

But you were already in your brother's cell before that, weren't you? He also told you that he has a friend in Gaudaloupe and that he still owes him a favor. And this friend is also mentioned by name. His name is Fadey and he's a respected friend of the Covernor. It is not shown in your logbook. But it's very important to really read through the conversations.

Have you already been to Fadey's house in Gaudeloupe?

I get the log book but it should at least lit people or places you need to be at better. I get im supposed to go to this place but the details on WHO i need to meet need to be adjusted. I DO read the whole text its just trying to remmeber it all is another hassle.

I did remember that, just didn't remember his name. I thought he was refering to the banker, so I did visit him. I guess I randomly have to enter every house in Guadaloupe to progress. This could have been made a bit clearer IMHO

I can't find Fadey's house in Guadaloupe. Entered every house as far as i KNow. There are a few houses that are closed. Could this just be bugged or is he hiding somewhere. Can annybody tell me where to find this fugger?

Main street going from the port to the palace, last house on the left coming from the port.

Ok, finally managed to find his house, after searching the internet. But this is just poor game design in my opinion. They just should have added some conversation topic at the tavern innkeeper. Just let the MC ask about Fadey and the innkeep giving some direction woulf have been enough. HIs house is in the mainstreat from the harbour to the statue last house on the left for anyone having the same difficulty

True that in general the game does give very few directions, no quest markers etc, challenging at times...

There is a conversation topic if you ask anyone on the streets in the Guadeloupe town they will tell you where Fadey house is. Problem is the conversation is hidden behind one or two standard dialogue choices ... you have to ask about town and then about people and then about Fadey. You then get told his house is on the left when leaving governors house towards the pier.

In general you are right. But it is not they wouldnt know what to do. They just did it super poorly with bad english on top.

Also pretty sure those yellow markers above ppl heads is new. Was not there in 2016 IIRC
