Stuck after tutorial

Hi guys,
i am stuck right after the tutorial.
i did all the quests, inklusidng the wine quest and bought the ship. after that i talked with the crew guy in the tavern and slept a night.
The logbook says (for the quest: a burden of the gascon):
"the bartender suggested to look for crewman among the folk in his tavern"

The problem: after i talked with the guys i already have the crew on the ship and there is no other one to talk to. but if i go sailing, i do not have the button "map" via the return menu to leave martinique area.

did i miss anything?

I have exactly the same issue, only thing is after speaking to the crew guy and buying food/medicine he doesn't want to join

oh i managed it finally: i bought rum for a few days (in addition to food and medicine) and then i could talk to the guys in the tavern again

Talk to Crew guy...
Talk to Bartender about a Navigator...
Talk to person in town about Navigator...
Find out Navigator is in the Prison..
Talk to Prison Warden...
Find out he owes money to the bank
Talk to the Bank person...
Pay or do bank person task...
Go get Navigator released from jail....

yeqah im currently stuck getting stuff for the boat AND ITS EXPENSIVE.... I must have missed some money. I cant go further beacuse Im broke....

how many did you have to buy of each? bought 300 food, 150 medicine and 10 rum but they still don't join... game is very frustrating

100 food, 5 meds, 9 rum still can't talk to the guy or do anything.

after many many relaods for testing seems the issue is not the quantity of the resources but the crew pay. had 7.4k gold.. bought 60 meds, 6 rum and 100 food with the crew taking 4.8k and was able to move onto the next quest

I had to sell the map to get the money to continue anly to get stuck after the mission to transport wine to guadeloupe. I get ambushed by pirates, win the encounter and sail to Gaudeloupe. There nothing happens to progress. Really starting to get frustrated with te buggy quests

Found the navigator but I can't seem to assign him....god they have done such an unbelievably awful job of explaining the most basic elements of this game. I'm almost in it purely for the train wreck value at this point....

Reading comprehension seems to be the issue in this thread. Follow this guide, but generally you gotta pay attention to dialogue.
