while that is of course not entirely accurate for this game it did help.
If you're going to play this and be serious about it, I highly recommend using a walk-through of sorts. A walk-through for Sea Dogs should suffice. Why? Because there are so many timed quests and stuff you can miss out on which, depending on the type of player you are, can really ruin things.
Besides, the game is overly complex in many areas and doesn't always explain things properly. It'll be useful to have a source of easily presented information for the myriad of odd game design choices. Many of which makes you wonder if it was done just to make it feel old school, or if there could possibly be something more to it. But after playing through all of the Sea Dogs & Ilk games, you'll get to the conclusion there really isn't more to it. The jank is there to stay, as is evident from this new release.
