My newest issue: Game is not starting anymore

Hi there, who also has problems?
Yesterday (27th April 2025) the game was running normal.
Today it is not running anymore. I can star the laucher but when I click to open the game
everything closes and the game is not starting.

Maybe is a faulty mod somewhere.Try using the verify integrity option in steam for the game.

I have no mod installed. Just the game. I have also reinstalled the game. Then I have used the "repair data" option in steam. My virus scanner is also not blocking the game. I have checked that as well.

its prob the settings u got in, some weird thing with those, try to see and add the lowest setting before starting it

Doesn't change anything. The game is simply not running.

I have the same issue, since yesterday 2025-04-27. Worked perfectly 2025-04-26. Start via steam - it gets blue, the launcher comes up - i press play and it closes - the button in steam gets green again. I have already tried restarting my PC, verifying the game files through Steam, running the launcher and engine.exe as administrator, adding firewall exceptions, and reinstalling the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (both x86 and x64).
I also ran a system file check (sfc /scannow) which found no issues.
When trying to launch engine.exe manually from the installation folder, I get an error message saying "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)". I don't know if that has been there all the time.

The Windows update have broken the game....
I suffered the same issue.....just delete the last two updates of the day.
This will resolve until a permanent fix.

Removing update kb5055627 for Windows 11 helped me.

I am not sure to remove the updates. I wonder if the developers of the game are on it or ignoring the issue. (not that I'm implying the latter)

no idea what goes wrong there. game starts fine here from what i can tell on my end of things. only real difference i can see if it it takes a bit longer than before to fire up the launcher.

I actually can't uninstall personally, it just don't work

You can't uninstall it? That's strange. You just have to click on the update in the Windows list and then select the “Delete” option. It takes a bit of time and doesn't seem to work, but after a while the update is removed from your computer. It is a slow process. Don't forget to deactivate the automatic update function afterwards.

yeah no this update seems to prevent me for deleting it. I tried already any with the command prompt (powershell), nothing work... So i'm hoping for a quickfix as soon as possible !

Then I am hoping the best for you. Right now I have seen no comment and no reaction of the game developers so far. Sadly.
