I really want to like this game

But getting started is very difficult. At level one I've taken damage in storms that is expensive to repair when you have next to no money. I've been killed in the jungle and in boarding fights multiple time because none of my guys can't fight worth s**t. There is no map to figure out where your going. I've tried every profession and none is more advantageous than the other. They all die the same. I assume all these things get remedied when you start leveling, but getting to that point is proving next to impossible. It's kind of sad because I really enjoy these types of games.

You can always see storms on the map so do your best to avoid them, even at the cost of time.

I would recommend checking out my guide, it explains all the core mechanics of the game and goes deeper in various areas as I saw fit. Should help you get moving.

I found a very easy way to start making money. Go to a goods dealer that sells weapons and buy bullets and gunpowder. then make cartridges out of them and sell them back to the dealer.

you can make few pesos in the start of the game...but in a long time of the game remain only few pesos... of course you can make a lot and no need to sell all...afterall you not fighting most of the time...and of course there are towns with 2 sellers...
but remain only for the start...

I don't see a point in doing that. There are plenty of other ways to make good money.
