FOV and mouse sensitivity
Is there a way to change FOV and further reduce mouse sensitivity? I've put mouse sensitivity to the lowest and it feels like it has no affect on the camera movement and I see no way to move FOV other than moving the mouse wheel back and forth.

I ask since the camera movement and the close up view during boarding battles like with the Hater makes me have bad motion sickness and makes me feel nauseous.

Boarding scenes will be remade with a full camera unlocked.
Sensitivity... probably a hardware problem - did you try to lower it in mouse controls/windows settings?

have the same. the camera movement when you go away close from a wall to open space is a weird feeling. Beside that i changed the mouse sensitivity vertical to nearly all right and horizontal to nearly all left. that made it better when you move with your character but it also affect the mouse for ship movement and menu movement. And there it get awful after the changes. :)

Oh that's good to know. Thank you.

I'll try what you suggested. Thanks again!

Hmm alright. Let me change the settings to what you said and I'll see if that works for me. Thank you!

glad to see im not crazy and not the only one having issues with motion sickness. Kinda sad since other than that this is my favorite pirate game so far.

Well the developer did say they're looking into it and will fix the camera. He said in my review that he's looking to 'kill' the waviness during drunkeness and boarding battles. So let's look forward to that.

I agree with you, this game is fun and one that i like that features sailors and pirates. It reminds me a lot of Mount and Blade: Warband, but with ships.

Did you try enabling v-sync? Please let me know if it makes things better.

There's no v-sync option in the game. Well, I don't see the option in the Graphics section to turn it on or off.

V-Sync is on the launch menu

Oh. Thanks. I'll check it out.

Ok, I had V-Sync on at the launch menu. So I turned it off to see if it would help. It did slow down the camera movement rather drastically so that did help somewhat. A bit too slow now but that motion sickness isn't as bad as before when V-Sync was on. The feeling is still there though, just not as bad now with V-Sync off.

It's still awful. Had to lower sensitivity on mouse itself to 1/4 but then mouse in menus are .. and the ingame sensitivity is still bad.

Raw camera input would certainly help. The game has some mouse to controller conversion. And extremely narrowly set. So very slow mouse movement translates to quick rotation. And even moderate mouse movement translates into the same rotation. I can do a single 360 turn with as low as 0.5cm move as well as with 20cm move. It's really painful :(

Using A-D for diagonal move instead of strafing is another PITA. I would not even say it's "obsolete" control scheme :) This couldn't be good at any point :)

I like the game tho. But oh Lord it doesn't want to be "walked through" :)

Maybe something to do with your mouse DPI. If it's super high then obviously there will be an issue.

Of course, the game needs to have a wider sensitivity range so that people will drastically different mouse DPIs can still play it properly.

I think part of the issue is just how far the camera moves when you move the mouse, even on the lowest setting. It barely takes any movement to swing the camera 90 degrees. Originally, I thought the sensitivity setting did nothing cause I switched it to the lowest possible when I started playing, but after fiddling with it now, it DOES change the feeling. But it's kinda like the difference between going a minimum of 45 MPH and 90 MPH in a 25 MPH school zone, you're still going too fast

I'm playing on 400DPI and it is fine for a guy like me who prefers low sens (I used to play Counter-Strike). Try lowering your mouse DPI to see if it helps more.

I think the main issue lies with how the in-game sensitivity works. Maybe the devs need to widen the range in order to accomodate it to more DPI values.
