Sensitivity... probably a hardware problem - did you try to lower it in mouse controls/windows settings?
Oh that's good to know. Thank you.
I'll try what you suggested. Thanks again!
Hmm alright. Let me change the settings to what you said and I'll see if that works for me. Thank you!
Well the developer did say they're looking into it and will fix the camera. He said in my review that he's looking to 'kill' the waviness during drunkeness and boarding battles. So let's look forward to that.
I agree with you, this game is fun and one that i like that features sailors and pirates. It reminds me a lot of Mount and Blade: Warband, but with ships.
Did you try enabling v-sync? Please let me know if it makes things better.
There's no v-sync option in the game. Well, I don't see the option in the Graphics section to turn it on or off.
V-Sync is on the launch menu
Oh. Thanks. I'll check it out.
Ok, I had V-Sync on at the launch menu. So I turned it off to see if it would help. It did slow down the camera movement rather drastically so that did help somewhat. A bit too slow now but that motion sickness isn't as bad as before when V-Sync was on. The feeling is still there though, just not as bad now with V-Sync off.
Raw camera input would certainly help. The game has some mouse to controller conversion. And extremely narrowly set. So very slow mouse movement translates to quick rotation. And even moderate mouse movement translates into the same rotation. I can do a single 360 turn with as low as 0.5cm move as well as with 20cm move. It's really painful :(
Using A-D for diagonal move instead of strafing is another PITA. I would not even say it's "obsolete" control scheme :) This couldn't be good at any point :)
I like the game tho. But oh Lord it doesn't want to be "walked through" :)
Maybe something to do with your mouse DPI. If it's super high then obviously there will be an issue.
Of course, the game needs to have a wider sensitivity range so that people will drastically different mouse DPIs can still play it properly.
I'm playing on 400DPI and it is fine for a guy like me who prefers low sens (I used to play Counter-Strike). Try lowering your mouse DPI to see if it helps more.
I think the main issue lies with how the in-game sensitivity works. Maybe the devs need to widen the range in order to accomodate it to more DPI values.
