lol i woudnt've found it if it wasn't for the main quest.
I remember that he told me about that in a dialogue long ago, but it never appeared in the logbook, so I didn't remember the location of his target and there was no way to check it afterwards, so I kept bribing him to stay.
Don't know why you don't get the option too tho... maybe you have a penalty on authority and its preventing you to exceed the officer cap?

It would help players to remember the dialog - a reference to Duran's personal quest and look for the completion of this story.
Another important thing is that to get the right dialog (trigger) to develop the story, at least 3 months must have passed since you took him on as an officer.
I hope that they are actively monitoring all dialog in the community and after reading - will make the necessary edits in the game!
