I was just joking.
Sail away from the Navio, once you're far enough, change your course such that the black arrow is pointing at the Navio after sailing on x6 speed for a few minutes, yes, do that.
In order to escape the other ships later on, make sure you always lower your sails when they're firing broadsides from long ranges (which means they're using cannonballs and/or knippels).
Once the xebec is super far away & the Navio is lined up with one of the black arrows, sail straight to her and blast her with grapeshots/bombs.
Rinse and repeat until the Navio is weakened, then board her OR sink her with your bombs.
I have a video of this done on impossible difficulty. I savescummed because I wanted the best possible scenario, but it was unnecessary tbh.

Now I hope you've realised how strong corvettes can be
You said they are the "weakest of class 3 ships"
Anyways, stats aren't everything. The current xebec model is awfully buggy and having more guns means less space for other stuff. Polacres aren't great against class 2s because the AI will try to keep their distance and blast the hell out of you in a war of attrition. You can catch up to them in a polacre but it would take a lot of time compared to a corvette.
I can't imagine myself doing this fight with a polacre. In order beat the flagship you'll need to prevent it from keep their distance from you (which they do pretty often for me), and having a corvette really helps.
