how to start hero of the nation

I finished the main quest and saved the world, before that I accepted the offer from De Poincy and became an officer for France but later I attacked french ships and lowered my reputation with them. Can I still play hero of the nation? how can I start it?

You can start it if you haven't lost your French patent. Talk to de Poincy to start it.

Thank you I didn't even think about going to Poincy I was just wandering hoping to receive a letter or an update, now I am having troubles looking for the dutch indiamen, I only managed to find one. Do all of them spawn near Saint Martin?

Yeah just camp near Saint-Martin lol. In the past, most of the East Indiaman galleons spawned at Fajardo Beach (northeast Puerto Rico), but now it seems like they can spawn anywhere. Therefore you have to camp west of Saint-Martin, just make sure you don't engage too close to the fort.

EDIT: They spawn like every 20-40 days unfortunately, maybe that's why you've only found one so far. Be patient.
