Tyrex, silk road. waited too long to get reward?!?!?!?

i finised silk road, he said to give him 20 days to let the first shipment come and then go back to him to get paid. I went out and did my own thing for a few months then went back to him...
and now he wants nothing to do with me??? so the entire rest of the quest line, i cant do? i cant get my own island anymore>? that blows!!

the unspoken time limits for Tyrex's quest are killing me. even with a guide i have no time to prepare, this time for the Hot Sun of Maracaibo quest. im trying to get 500 coffee and just play the game a little right after i started the quest. The guide says i have 2 week time limit from when i speak to the first guy in the quest in barbados. OK, so ill not talk to him while i get my ♥♥♥♥ together.
30 pistols, all the goods, etc. But you fail the quest after not talking to him for a couple weeks. ♥♥♥♥ blows. its making me not want to play and really sucks.

The time limits are pretty strict, but the questline has also changed a lot in CL and the old TEHO guide is very outdated. I wouldn't recommend following it as much of the advice it gives is no longer relevant.

im 60+ hours in my gameplay, i wont just restart from 0 to do exploration mode. There is no setting i can just tick in my current game?

I can feel you, but i think restart is better for you because you wasted a lot of time already. The best way is finish Jolly Roger and get Mona Island ASAP then you can free play as much as you want. It takes time to build Mona.

I agree completely.
The man has made a lot of irreparable mistakes. To understand well and understand how to play this interesting game you will have to spend a lot of (100+) hours.

They are killing me too. Will have to rebuild the whole questline in 1.5
I have made the same mistake with the silk in my 1.1.1 playtest.

Then, when you knew you had a 2 week time limit, you took a couple of weeks...
