Rumba Quest: Did I Just Permanently Remove Helen?
I did the Rumba quest and paid the shipwright. Next morning I found out I have Vit Needles instead of Helen as an officer and he has a longboat while she has her own ship now. Did I just permanently remove Helen from my crew and possible love interest?

EDIT: I also did this quest right after rescuing Helen. So I haven't even meet Mary yet. Isn't this quest supposed to be accessible AFTER I have the 2 as officers?

what you did is fine, Helen will join you later, the dev made a little adjustment on quest.
Paying shipwright for the small Rainbow ship will give you an achievement if you assign Helen as its captain in the end of Pirate Saga.
I think Rumba quest only affect steam achievement. if you want to choose Helen, you need to do the same as what you did in the previous version, refuse gifts, call her family name.

Helen's the blonde and Mary's the redhead. Apparently, Caribbean Legend gave her an overhaul so Mary isn't the obvious choice anymore.

Also, can you confirm if I screwed up and need to NOT pay the shipwright and/or NOT accept Vit Needles in the Rumba quest?

Good to know. Went to a previous save and refused the ship and Vit only for Helen to not join as well. That's when I realized (after reloading again and accepting Vic and the Rainbow ship) that she joins later.
