Ship of the Line

I never see one. (only in Tortuga)
Need a special Quest or somthing?
I am Lvl 50 have 3 Heavy Frigates, No big ships on the Sea, sometimes a Heavy Gallon. The Ship of the Line from stolen Ship Quest never spwan.

Line ships only appear in special squadrons and some quest fights. They aren't really worth it, though, as they don't have that many more guns and are even less manoeuvreable than a heavy frigate.

i prefer a heavy frigate than a Lineship since its not so hard to get a man o war on normal i have to 2 now(both spanish gonna sell one of them its better than my first one) im on exploration though though i did always loose a combine of 3 heavy galleons and heavy frigates in capturing one officer is fine so not a hard lost.

How do you lose ships while capturing an officer?

there's a skill on combat perks that allow them to survive a sinking of a ship u have to fish them out though and not sure if they will survive if boarded.

my H Galleons hasn't been boarded but was sunk youll have to rescue them though on a Dinghy lol

Best way to find a Ship of the Line is Hot Raid Quests. Find a cpt in town. He looks different and search for help. Meet him on his ship ( send a longboat) but save before to get the right quest. Generally a pirate repairing his ship and kick his ...

Not sure if you have these quests in your game mode but one of the slave traders quests, I think it was the 6 th or 7 th quest send you against a ship of the line called the Cacafuego, it has 36 caliber guns and hits like a truck but well worth capturing.
