Getting privateers license
I played AOP2, i know you need to do like 7 or something of the Gov. missions, then you get sent to the "main" gov. for that nation.
maybe its just been awhile, but ive done alot, and i still dont have "i think you should talk to the big wig" dialog...
Am i missing something? I usually save load till i get an easy mission, then complete it.

No they still pay well and gain reputation. You can still work for France in the main story, for the most part the majority of major content in this game is through the story progression.

Yeah it sucks, can't take towns either. Makes sandbox kinda boring.

...no towns? Pretty sure i read somewhere on the store page you could take towns

Yeah idk if it's a planned feature for later but currently, no capturing towns. There's a single "colony" you can make in the story but it doesn't do much.
