Better ways to find officers please?

Is it possible to tweak change how we get officers? Either higher spawn chance in tavern or let us pay to get one of the class we want? Sitting and loading a save outside a tavern for 40 minutes is not fun.

try capturing pirates they will usually join you're crew

capture pirates. they run the gamit from awaful to awsome. plus the ones you really want nare behind the quests.

And I dont understand what you mean by "you have been able to do that"/ Every single captain will automatically agree to serve you. all you have to do is get a ship to surrender, then put the captain in captivity, then go into your hold and talk to him and offer him to serve.

How on earth do you get a ship to surrender? I have boarded enemy vessels that only had one guy left on the upper deck.

That's what I'm saying. I can severely deplete the crew and no one offers to surrender. Is that a story vs sandbox difference?

Some ships just don't surrender.

Interesting i dont know that i can hire captive captains. I allways sold them to Governreurs.

This should give a Reputation Bonus if you ask me bring them Pirates or Spain officers.

its reptuation based. once you get higher rep they start surrendering more, and the pirates will be more likely to surrender than a nation's ship. Then slaughter the crew before boarding.

frankly i dont like it when they surrender because they magically stop you from looting their strong box and all you get is the trade goods i would have gotten anyways.
