Doublons dont work?

Hi i have 33 spanish doublon i m'y inventory. But when i want use for the bank or upgrade m'y ship. The npc told me i dont have.. the question is how to use this . And have différent doublon in this game?

The ship upgrade dialogue has a translation error. It should say "chests of doubloons" instead of "doubloons", so you basically need 150 times the given number.
As for interest it certainly has a minimum amount to deposit, probably 100 doubloons.

Just as a heads up - because I know I didn't learn this for a long time - you can easily get dubloons at the usurer. You can buy them for pesos you just need to pick the right option in their text.

Do the doubloons need to be in a chest or wil 450 doubloons be ok if they ask for 3 (chests)?

They want them neatly packed into a chest, 150 each. Don't ask me why, it's probably their OCD.
