My game crashes every time I try to load certain mods and I know why, they're compiled for an old version, so how do I recompile them?

Is there a way to make your character stand still? I keep running toward enemies when I don't click them exactly.

don't want any work in progress stuff. or ea. only completed stuff that when loaded into the game adds more stuff that feels like more Torchlight 2 goodness. as the topic says i am specifically looking for Items/ weapons/ gear and classes mods. but only finished mods....

Do people know about this amazing ring? I got it off the gambler in Zeryphesh on NG+++ for about 24,000 gold. I thought it was expensive junk until I put it on one of my storage characters, and I could have easily missed it but I noticed what makes it so special.
