Does somebody have a list of what exactly these are?
There are some left to unlock for collecting a certain number of achievements, i wonder if they are fun modifiers

  • Speedrun: Automatically skip all cutscenes.
  • Free Roam: Remove all plot barriers. Start outside of Zema's house, the "goal" is to find a number of Astral Gears to enter the final area. Many major powerups as well as the gears themselves have their locations shifted. Zero objective markers; if you've never played the default Story Mode you WILL be utterly lost.
  • Turbo Mode: Increase overall game speed.
  • Weapon Mastery: Start with all melee moves unlocked (Combo 4, Tornado Spin, Mana Pillar, etc.)
  • Random Sigils: Swap the locations of all sigils.
  • Fast Learner: Start with Explorer's Compass and most crafting options.
  • Aggro Bosses: Decreases downtime inbetween boss attacks and has them start on their last phase, meaning they will use their cut-in move almost immediately after the fight starts.
  • Elite Enemies: Every enemy, boss, and even NPCs have the "Elite" buff.
  • Speedster: Start with all movement-related items.
  • Sigil Pass: Start with all equipped Sigils from the last used game clear save file.
  • Potion Scale: Boss scaling from potions is much higher.

Want a nonlinear game? Turn on Free Roam.

Want even more challenge? Turbo-Aggro-Elite-Potion BBQ.

Worth noting that some bosses can break with aggro mode enabled.

Which ones?

Memloch is the main one. His break gimmick breaks. He's extremely hard to break but once he is broken he stays broken. Katu also doesn't spawn clones, and there's probably more. I'm only saying what I've read others run into.

memloch, katu as mentioned uhh though katu DOES work normally, just killing the initial clone will send katu into her desperation mode deleting the other 2 if you didn't clear her first health bar while the first clone is alive
malphage actually acts a bit unusual too, recovering from the first few breaks almost immediately
The other one i can think of is Vassago, not losing his attack down and some other strangeness involving underworld tyrant

Are the devs aware of this problem? Having bosses become easier because their AI and patterns break with the Boss Aggro modifier active is clearly not intended behavior.

the only one that really becomes easier is memloch due to becoming perma broken and getting a permanent defense down after first break which makes the fight significantly shorter, you still have to get the break though
katu going into desperation mode without clones earlier sounds like it gets easier but i'd disagree from experience (bbq + aggro bosses) due to her attacks always being harder and she spends a lot of time in long animations with damage reduction that can be quite hard to dodge some of the attacks
malphage? honestly is just kinda weird, wouldn't say necessarily easier either, yes she recovers from break instantly till the final health bar but all that mainly does is remove the platforms for most of her attack phases
Vassago is weird, yes, he gets the permanent attack down and woken fury/defense down is active the whole time alongside underworld tyrant, not exactly the hardest fight in the world though, sure underworld tyrant activating and clearing his health bars to a certain point almost certainly is unintended, but wouldn't say it also makes the fight easier either aside from vassago generally doing less damage (this fight kinda is on a timer anyway since you don't have to defeat the boss to win, just get to a certain point), the main issue i have with the fight is that underworld tyrant's description is wrong, it says its triggered by jumping but it works by increasing its stacks as you stay on the ground
Sure this also means Celia and Sable become unlocked super early into the Amaryllis/Cyril fights aswell, but thats because the game is trying to forward to the final phase, also doesn't really make them easier since it only really speeds up like the first couple health bars in those fights

Unless this is an aggro thing, that works by gaining stacks when you land (it literally says increasing by opponent's landings) but it takes a brief moment after landing to gain a stack so it's possible to quickly jump again to avoid a stack. Also it counts any move that puts you in the air like tornado slam, upper slash, or backflip.

can absolutely confirm this isn't how it works entirely, just did a refight on my expert save without leaving the ground at all, even from any of his attacks, no tornado slam, no upper slash, no backflip and the buff still ticks up, aggro shouldn't change that at all since all it does is effectively treat that boss as if its on its last phase

like it might scale mainly with landings but it'll still grow in stack count regardless
