White Blocks

Considering that the player cannot destroy white blocks until chapter 7 any path in the game that has this should be blocked off by them much earlier.

I hate doing a whole section and then I cant finish because its blocked off by these things.

Honestly I personally kinda agree but I could also see it as a way for players to go explore more for items if they get stuck on a boss or something. I'm just about to start a turbo BBQ run next and I bet I'll be thankful for some of the extra wiggle room for items :P

Thats the point of a metroidvania exploration, its showing you an area that you cant do anything right now and have to come back later.

They've been removing a lot of the white blocks to the point that I'm pretty sure almost all of them are in Snowveil . I can think of 3 that aren't in that area and all 3 give items instead of blocking progress.
