Is this game abandoned?

This game came as part of "wholesome Snack" Humble bundle. Thinking it was a good idea to grab the DLC during Steam Winter Sale. But reading through the comments, it seemed they are not worth getting at all! Are they really that bad? Should i get a refund for them?

If you got them on sale, I'd say you got a good deal. They're not world-changing but they're pretty fun.

The game is not abandoned, the developers just don't frequent the Steam forums. They respond reasonably quickly to support requests on their website.

I believe the game is considered feature complete and in maintenance mode. Don't expect any big new updates. Although the game has some issues, I would say it's a good game and has a lot of good things going for it.

cool. good to know. I saw many reviews in relation to "bugs" If issues have been fixed. I guess its fine. Otherwise I would just play through the base game and called it :D Many thanks for the insights.

Yeah the game is abandoned, especially since just a week ago the studio announced they were shutting down.

Everyone loves to say a game is abandoned. This game is feature complete. Not every game is a live service title and can be updated forever. Yes, they should still patch game breaking bugs but don't expect any more content or game feature changes.

It's fake news, they announced layoffs around May last year and a refocus to ensure survival. But they are not shutting down. Yes, they are deep in the mire with their other game Dauntless, but they have not announced they are closing down.

Well when a game have so many broken bugs and dev doesnt fix it when 2 years already passed, well thats called Abandoned. Simple like that.

First up thanks for your contribution to my questions. :) Actually I’m not asking about updates. I understand a game comes to an end at some stage. I asked because of the amount of reviews talking about bugs not being fixed etc. I also saw how bad the reviews for the DLC. I bought them without knowing how bad they were and kept them because someone has answered to my question in this thread re the DLC.
