Now the question is what the max happiness is.
I am at 5 right now and there is space for maybe 2 more.

Edit: Nvm I see the screenshot now :D
And while I wouldn't say random the chances are like 30% or so and not 100% like I hoped for the invest one has to make.
Or how about they make it so the more seals you use the higher the chance so like 3 seals is 100% chance or something like that.
I've finished the story but haven't looked into breeding yet, but I have the info on the stronger charms in the almanac.
Now to experiment if that color breeds down naturally.
-the color is not passing down or the chances are so abbysmal low that it is simply not worthwhile
-aside from personal preferences the colored pets aren't worth more (I can sell the golden chick just for 100 like any other normal chick)
-the happiness seems to be max at 6 (or you need a pillow breeding item, never used that one)
- there are no "better" charms in the almanach. You have the more natural colors with the first farmers and the fantasy color charms with the fae traders (unless those are magically appearing in the index at a later time but that seems unlikely)
