Dating and marying different partners was one of my favorite things in stardew. All of the characters had unique and interesting things you'd learn about them and it was so fun to get the events. They felt special.
Penny and Victor were our favorites.
Best of all was when I was playing co-op with my wife she would get super jealous of the dates lol.
Sadly it looks like that major aspect is missing here. I hope they fix it!
Honestly I don't mind if there's none of it. It's just that having it in the game but basically being empty feels wrong. Either do it right or don't do it at all imho.
The game tries to be too many things at once and fail at a few things quite a bit. Ranching and Relationships are the two worst offenders I feel.
Also if you pet you have to move away from the animal and come back to it to quickly have the prompt again to brush it.
That plus the fact that barns are tied to houses and you can't even swap them around. It feels like Super Nintendo limitations on a 2023 game it's mind boggling. I really don't get why Ranching had to be so limited for seemingly no reason. I would have almost preferred to buy an object to place that is a trapped animal or something like you buy a big fence with the animal. I don't know, but the current implementation is not fun and very buggy.
