Fishing has killed the game

I am at fishing level 3 now and I have bought a better rod but there is no difference . Fishing is getting worse. It took me 3 days to catch one sardine and I have been pulled into the water by salmons !!! several times after minutes of reeling. The easy fishing mode (from the gameplay options ) doesn°t seem to work. As I need to fish to progress in the game it!s really frustrating .

This is the worse fishing experience I have ever had in a PC game. It's slow and tedious. the whole rod and fish thing where I get pulled into the water is a waste of time and is a big turn off for me playing this game. I sure hope the developers improve this. I have plenty of patience but here it's just not enjoyable.

"Simple fishing" isn't an easy mode for fishing.

Simple Fishing is an option for people who might have difficulties constantly pressing and letting go of the button to reel in the fish, all it does it make it a toggle instead of a hold. Don't expect it to make anything easier for you.

Fishing was the last skill I cared about maxing out. I finished the story while I was at Fishing Level 6, so it's not super necessary to progress (after the initial quests about it) at least. By the time you max out or get better at other skills, you can cook food that enhances your reeling skill temporarily.

Someone else said it, but I also tap when they're pulling away instead of holding!
