Can we get an option to stay friends with romance candidates?

It would be VERY appreciated if in the future an option to befriend romance candidates without flirting with them would become available.

I don't want my character to flirt with 6 persons at the same time it's a bit hard to get any immersion when it happens quite honestly. Having the option is funny but having it being the default feels like a weird huge oversight. I would rather miss content then being forced into flirting with a quarter of the town honestly.


And I don't mind that the romances are so simple and friendships in general. It's just the lack of player agency that really bothers me.

I agree with you, I didn't want to flirt with weird frog guy at all, he looks like a kid. I am OLD lol. I wish it gave me options instead of putting everyone on a romance path. It makes me not want to talk to them.

Yes, PLEASE! Or, at the very least, have the option to switch the romance role to a “best friend” role so that you can still do the extra quests but not have the dates, because it does get really weird when you’re trying to max out relationships and end up flirting with half the town lmaoo

Just as a piece of information as soon as you propose to someone all the flirt options for other romanceable disappear altogether so at least there's that. But it's still a major issue.
